•Complainant on S. Dakota Street in Steen reported a motor vehicle theft. 

•Complainant on Spring Street and Maple Street reported an accident with property damage. 

ITC Midwest will be conducting aerial patrols of high-voltage transmission structures and lines throughout its service territory from Sept. 8 through Oct. 2, weather permitting.

Korey James Heck, 50, passed away Aug. 30, 2026, with his family by his side at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was born Sept. 13, 1975, at the Luverne Community Hospital. 

Douglas L . Gunderson, age 79, of Luverne, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at the Sioux Falls VA Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls, S.D. 

Marie J. Frakes, age 100, of Luverne, Minn., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, while at Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, Minn. 

Sally (Vercella) Hemenway, a dedicated educator and lifelong adventurer, passed away peacefully Jan. 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, learning, and love.
