Gymnasts win two conference meets

The Luverne Cardinals gymnastics team won two home conference meets beating Pipestone 132-127.3 Tuesday, Dec. 17, and topping New Ulm 133.950-129.200 Friday, Dec. 20.

LHS is now 3-1 in dual meets against conference foes.

William Holling

William “Bill” Henry Holling was born on March 25, 1923, in Germany to Ferdinand “Peter” and Wiebke (Jollmer) Holling. His parents immigrated to the United States when Bill was about 1 1/2 years old.

The Luverne girls’ hockey team won two more games over the past week, bringing the season record to 10-5.

The Cardinals beat Windom 6-1 Tuesday, Dec. 17, at home and topped Willmar 4-2 on the road Friday, Dec. 20.
