Amber Briggs, age 34, of Luverne, Minnesota, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at her home. A memorial service was Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 7 p.m., with visitation at 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Luverne.

Luverne High School juniors and seniors enjoy their Saturday night prom, whose theme was "Ballroom Brilliance," with a grand march featuring 105 couples who walked through thehigh school gym and across the stage of the performing arts center.

Under the theme, “A Night on Mount Olympus,” 35 couples participated in the grand march at the Hills-Beaver Creek High School prom in Hills Friday night.

The LHS and H-BC track and field teams traveled to the Worthington Invitational Thursday, April 25.

Temperatures were in the high 60s at the beginning of the meet and dropped to the high 50s toward evening.

LHS baseball team slides past Jackson

The Luverne baseball team hosted Jackson County Central Tuesday, April 23, beating the Huskies 10-7.

Luverne tallied 10 runs on 15 hits and covered 24 total bases in a game that featured junior Carter Sehr’s two triples and four trips over home plate.

Luverne golf teams driven to win rounds

The LHS boys’ golf team beat Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 159-195 Tuesday, April 23, in Luverne. The girls’ team got the day off and had a regular practice.

On Monday, April 29, LHS participated in the Big South tournament.

H-BC golfers participate in Red Rock Conference tournament Week 1 play

The H-BC golf team took on Southwest Christian and Heron Lake-Fulda/Westbrook Walnut Grove Tuesday, April 23, at the Adrian Country Club.

Southwest Christian captured the team competition with a 9-hole team score of 172.

Softball team grabs three games in a row to advance to 8-3 for the season

The Luverne High School softball team grabbed three big wins this past week to bring their season record to 8-3.

The Cardinals took two games (doubleheader) on the road from St. James Thursday, April 25.
