LHS boys beat Fairmont and Minneota in final regular season matchups

The Luverne boys’ basketball team collected two wins in their last two regular season games for a 17-7 record going into the playoffs.

The Luverne Cardinals beat Fairmont 59-42 at home Tuesday, Feb. 18, and took down Minneota 92-60 at home Thursday, Feb. 20.

Lady Pates beat TMB in section basketball play

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team beat Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 60-41 in Section 3A quarterfinal action Saturday, Feb. 22, in Worthington.

Luverne wrestlers grapple in Section 3AA individual tournament Feb. 22

The Luverne wrestling team sent nine Cardinals to the 2025 MSHSL Section 3AA individual wrestling tournament at Dawson Saturday, Feb. 22.

Luverne had one fifth-place finish, three sixth-place finishes and five unplaced wrestlers in the tournament.

Cardinal girls basketball team falls to Fairmont in section tourney

The Luverne girls’ basketball team gave up two losses to Fairmont to end their season with a record of 4-22.

The Cardinals took on Fairmont in their last regular season game of the season, falling 66-41 Tuesday, Feb. 18, on the road.
