David T. Houser, 92, of Hillsboro, Mo., died Aug. 24, 2026. He was born June 28, 1934, in Alamosa, Colo., to Denver and Esther (Schurdel) Houser. 

Neil Dohlmann

Neil Gene Dohlmann, age 81, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne. He was born July 14, 1945, in Luverne, to Henry and Mildred (Kruger) Dohlmann. He received his education from Magnolia Public Schools. 

Bruce Kruger

Bruce Robert Kruger, age 77, of Luverne, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. 

A private family service will take place at a later date with Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Luverne. 

Korey Heck

Korey James Heck, age 50, of Luverne, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. 

A private family burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery. 

Brandenburg siblings celebrate combined 243 years of marriage

The Brandenburg siblings celebrated a combined 243 years of marriage at Revel Kitchen and Cocktails in Luverne on Aug. 19. 

Brothers Everett, Larry and Gary Brandenburg and sister Audrey Jansen and their spouses all have summer anniversaries and get together annually to celebrate. 

"What time is it?"

What television show started with the line, “What time is it?” What time it is relates to this time too. It is time to find the school list that was mailed out in July. It is time to realize the shoes the kids have been wearing all summer are now two sizes too small.
