    Luverne City Administrator John Call announced last week that Luverne’s used ladder truck has been sold to the fire department in Miller, South Dakota. Luverne had purchased a newer ladder truck last summer for $550,000. It’s a 2010 Rosenbauer 101’ platform firetruck. A new one costs over $1 million.     Commissioners voted 3-2 at their Jan. 5 meeting not to pay a bill the county recently received from the Luverne Fire Department. This is the first time a $750 bill for a fire call was presented for payment to the county.     The Rock County Land Management Office issued more than twice as many livestock feedlot permits in 2015 than it did the year before, according to LMO assistant director Doug Bos.
