•Mrs. Rofshus’ second grade writers to Santa

Fifteen Luverne High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a Nov. 17 ceremony in the performing arts center.

Inductees included:

Kevin “Hobbs” Robert Harberts, age 62, of Adrian, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington.

Darlene H. McClure, age 91, of Luverne, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. 

Julie Schuur, age 98, of Luverne, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society - Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne.

Alice Mabel Overgaard was born on Sept. 22, 1927, to Andrew and Katrine (Barstad) Tofteland on the family farm in Clinton Township, Rock County, Minnesota. She was baptized Nov.

Vernon Nelvin Kortleever was born on May 7, 1937, to John and Myrtle (Uilk) Kortleever in Leota, Minnesota. While growing up, Vern was one of 10 children.
