The Luverne girls’ tennis team was handed four losses this week falling 7-0 to Fairmont Sept. 8 at home, 5-2 to Pipestone Sept. 10 on the road, 7-0 to Benson and 6-1 to Morris at home Sept. 12.

Fairmont, heavily favored, outplayed LHS in all seven matches.

Monday, Sept. 21: Country friend chicken with cream gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, wheat bread and sugar cookie.

Tuesday, Sept. 22: Pasta pizza casserole, country vegetable blend, spiced peaches and dinner roll.

Dr. Doris Vivien Schoon, a physician, teacher, philanthropist, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2026, at age 97.

This week, Sept. 13-19, is National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, and Rock County Opportunities (RCO) is honoring the support professionals who work individuals with disabilities.
