Mother and daughter athletes Amy and Regan Feit, formerly from Luverne competed in the 2026 Antarctica Marathon® on King George Island in March and finished in first and second places in the event.

Author Nina Willner has been honored with a Christopher Award for her “Boys in the Light” book that includes Luverne World War II hero Elmer Hovland.
