Cardinals beat Trojans 7-0

Luverne girls’ hockey team blanked Worthington 7-0 at home Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The Cardinals put 40 total shots on Worthington’s goalie in the game and held the Trojans to just seven shots on goal in the win.

The Luverne girls’ basketball team took down Edgerton Public 67-40 in its 2025 home opener Monday, Nov. 24.

The Cardinals ran up a 32-13 lead in the first half and didn’t look back.

Jarchow named UMSC First-Team All-Conference

Anja Jarchow was recently named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMSC) Volleyball First-team All-Conference.

Jarchow, a sophomore outside hitter for the University of Northwestern in Roseville, posted 295 kills and 36 block assists in 2025.

Weather affects basketball and wrestling events

Winter weather and harsh weather conditions canceled two LHS and H-BC activities this past week.

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball game against Westbrook Walnut Grove was called off and the Luverne girls’ wrestling team did not make the trip to Hutchinson.

H-BC Patriots win state title

What a year for the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots football team!

H-BC walked into the 2025 9-player State Championship game unbeaten this season and walked out with the state title after beating Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 46-22 Saturday, Nov. 22, in the U.S. Bank Stadium.
