    The Luverne Cardinals went 0-3 on the mat this past week. The Cardinals opened the week on Thursday, Feb. 25, in Springfield. The Tigers and Cardinals played to a 39-39 tie, but Luverne ultimately lost due to forfeits. The Cardinals then returned home for a triangular against New Ulm and Blue Earth Area.     The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team went 2-1 in conference games last week. H-BC opened the week with a 55-43 loss to Edgerton on Tuesday.     It was a battle of “whatever you can do I can do better” on Tuesday, Feb. 16, inside the Luverne gymnasium between Hills-Beaver Creek’s Cole Baker and Luverne’s Gannon Ahrendt.
