Patriots breeze past Alden Conger 56-8

The Patriots took down the Alden Conger-Glenville Emmons Knights 56-8 in section semifinal action Saturday, Oct. 25, in Hills.

H-BC, the No. 1 seed, dominated the No. 4 seed Knights, holding them to only 128 yards of total offense.

LHS trap team posts final week results

The Luverne trap team finished their 2025 fall season this past week at the Rock County Sportsman’s Club.

Senior Makayla Oechsle finished her fifth week shooting a Perfect 25 in her second round of shooting.

Lady Pates fall 3-1 to Adrian-Ellsworth in section playoffs

The H-BC Lady Pates fell 3-0 to Adrian-Ellsworth in the second round of the 2025 Section 3A volleyball tournament Friday, Oct. 24, on the road.

Hills-Beaver Creek, the No. 6 seed, lost to the No. 3 seed Dragons 25-9, 25-14 and 25-17 in the match.

Mollberg qualifies for state

Luverne freshman Summer Mollberg qualified for state with her sixth-place finish at the MSHSL Section 3A Cross Country Championships in Madison, Minnesota, Oct. 23.

This will be her third consecutive year representing LHS in the girls’ individual 5,000-meter varsity race.

LHS beats Redwood Valley 3-2 in section playoffs

The Luverne Cardinals volleyball team beat Redwood Valley 3-2 in Section 3A quarterfinal action at home Friday, Oct. 24.

The No. 4 seed Luverne Cardinals went back and forth with the No. 5 seed Redwood Valley Cardinals, trading off points and sets throughout the night.

Wind is not your friend

When is the weather so bad that you will just not go hunting in it?
