Six honorees inducted into local hall of fame

Six honorees were inducted into the Rock County Hall of Fame on Sunday, Aug. 2, with a ceremony celebrating their contributions to their communities and country. 

The six inductees were Dale Frakes, Hugo Goehle, Marv Helling, Elmer Hovland, Emily Lodine Overgaard and Harrison White.

School access changes as Highway 75 project continues

As construction work on Highway 75 in Luverne continues, access to the school is changing. 

Starting on Monday, Aug. 10, drivers will no longer be able to use the Barck Street crossing to access the school. This intersection will be closed for one week.

Birth announcement 

A baby boy, Ole Nicholas Aanenson, was born to Lesya and Denton Aanenson July 2, 2026, in Sioux Falls. Baby Ole weighted 9 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.
