The Cardinals were handed their first loss of the season Thursday, Oct. 10, by a tough Jackson County Central team. Both teams were 6-0 coming into the Big South Conference matchup in Luverne. The Luverne cross country team participated in the Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Adrian Country Club. The Luverne volleyball team dropped two games to solid rivals this past week. The Luverne Cardinals stay undefeated, winning the Battle Axe game 6-0 in overtime against Pipestone Friday, Oct. 4, on the road.
