    Isaiah Bartels, a 2020 Luverne High School graduate, was named to the 2019-2020 Academic All-State Boys Basketball team this spring. The award is presented by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association.     The July 4 weekend was relatively quiet for local dirt track drivers, crews and fans. Three Rock County drivers raced at two area tracks over the holiday weekend.     The Luverne Redbirds went 2-1 this past week and now stand at 6-1 for the season. Luverne defeated the Ruthton Royals 10-0 Wednesday, June 24, at home before suffering the first loss of the season to the Jackson Bulls Friday at Redbird Field.     The Luverne Redbirds returned to Redbird Field for their first home game of the season Wednesday, June 17.     The Luverne 19-and-under (19U) baseball team opened its delayed season by going 2-1 at a Legion baseball tournament in Lennox, South Dakota, over the weekend.
