Monday, April 27, 2026
The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Secondary School District Board Room, 301 N Summit Avenue, Hills, MN.
Board members and Administration present were Bosch, Gehrke, Harnack,
Helgeson, Rauk and Rozeboom. Superintendent Holthaus, Principal Kellenberger
and Business Manager Rozeboom were also in attendance. Board member
Uittenbogaard was absent.
Motion by Harnack, seconded by Helgeson, and carried to approve the agenda.
Visitors to the meeting were Gail Gilman, MN School Boards Association, Strategic Planning Service Overview and Nichole Ronchetti with the Rock County Star Herald.

Motion by Rozeboom, seconded by Helgeson, and carried to approve consent agenda:

•Student Activity Accounts Report - 3/31/2026
•Setting the Food Service Steam Kettle as excess district property and
directing the Superintendent to sell or dispose of.
•Moving the time of the May 11, 2026, Regular Board meeting to 8 p.m. to
accommodate the Band/Choir concert scheduled for earlier in the meeting.
•Setting the Second May 2026 Regular Board meeting to Tuesday, May, 26,
2026 because of the Memorial Day Holiday
•Hiring Haley Tollefson for summer childcare worker substitute
Motion by Harnack, seconded by Rauk, and carried to approve Bids, Alternate Bids and Rejected Bids for District Partial Track Project as recommended by RA Morton Construction Managers.
Motion by Helgeson, seconded by Bosch, and carried to approve 8-12 Band and 9-12 Choir trip to Chicago Spring 2027.

Motion by Harnack, seconded by Helgeson, to ENTER CLOSED SESSION FOR THE PURPOSES OF DEVELOPING OR CONSIDERING OFFERS OR COUNTEROFFERS FOR THE PURCHASE OR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 13D.05, SUBDIVISION 3(c)(3).
RECONVENE REGULAR BOARD MEETING
Motion by Helgeson, seconded by Harnack, and carried to approve the sale of district property located at Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Block 21 in First Addition to the City of Beaver Creek, Rock County, Minnesota, to the City of Beaver Creek, under the terms and conditions as presented, and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chair to execute all necessary documents to complete
the transaction.
Motion by Rozeboom, seconded by Harnack, and carried to approve adjournment of the meeting.
