Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Nicholas Bork has made application to the County of Rock, for a permit to modify a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The feedlot is located in the NW 1/4 of section 23 in Springwater Township, Rock County, Minnesota.
The existing facility consists of a total confinement building with underfloor concrete pit to house 2400 head of finishing swine, open lots without runoff controls to house 50 head of sheep, and 190 calf huts to house 190 head of calves. The proposed modification will be adding a total confinement building to house 150 head calves and remove open lots with sheep. Manure storage from calf huts and total confinement calf building will be pack on lot. Manure storage from the total confinement swine building is underfloor concrete pit. The site will house 2400 head of finishing swine and 340 head of calves equaling 788 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
