LHS takes down Adrian/Ellsworth 17-2 in 3 1/2 innings

The Luverne High School softball team opened its season against Adrian Thursday, April 4, beating the Dragons 17-2 at home.

The game ended after 3 1/2 innings of play on the 15-run rule.

Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek track teams perform side-by-side at Luverne Invite April 5

The Cardinals and Patriots track and field teams participated in the Luverne Invite Friday, April 5, along with five other teams.

Adrian/Ellsworth, Southwest Minnesota Christian, Windom, Lakeview and Worthington were also present for the invite.

Patriots shine at first outdoor track meet in Slayton

The Patriots track and field team traveled to Slayton Thursday, April 4, to participate in the Dick Davidson Invite at the Murray County Central Sports Complex.

LHS and H-BC announce all-conference basketball team selections

The Big South Conference and the Red Rock Conference released their 2023-24 All-Conference basketball team selections.

In the Big South Conference, LHS senior Gavin DeBeer and junior Carter Sehr were named to the all-conference team in boys’ basketball.

LHS and H-BC girls golf in Worthington Invite

The Luverne Cardinals and Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots girls’ golf teams played in the Worthington Invite Saturday, April 6, for their first meet of the season.

The girls played 18 holes in wind gusts upward of 50 miles per hour at times.
