    The Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek golf teams played head-to-head at the Luverne Country Club Tuesday, May 4. The LHS boys beat H-BC 165-222 in nine-hole play. The Patriot girls’ team only had two players at the meet and lost to Luverne 209-118.     The Luverne High School boys’ tennis team played three matches this past week, falling to all three teams. The Cardinals fell to Madison 9-0 on April 25 on the road, to Worthington 7-0 April 27 at home, and 7-0 to Blue Earth May 1 on the road.     The Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek track and field teams competed in the Worthington Invitational Thursday, April 27. The Cardinals and Patriots were among 12 teams invited to the event. Samuel Honerman put together two good rounds scoring a perfect 25 in the second, and finishing with a score of 49.
