Senior Amira Cowell set a new LHS gymnastics school record on the vault Thursday, Jan. 23, against Jackson County Central. Cowell scored a 9.475 on the vault breaking the one-year-old record of 9.350 set by her former teammate, Ella Reisdorfer.

Cowell sets new vault record as LHS beats Jackson in home meet

The Luverne gymnastics team beat the Jackson County Central Huskies 132.900-128.425 at home Thursday, Jan. 23.

“I was so nervous for this meet. We had so many new skills going in and that can be a gamble. You are never sure if they will hit or not,” head coach Phoebe Flom said.
