Betty Luethje, age 93, of Luverne, Minnesota, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2026, while at her daughter’s home in Arizona.

Oltman “Okie” Honken, age 89, formerly of Luverne, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hartquist Funeral Home in Luverne.

Lorelei Lee Steever (Weigand), age 64, passed away peacefully at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls February 28, 2026, while holding the hands of her two sons.

Randall “Randy” Gene Cragoe died February 23, 2026, at his home in Ottumwa, Iowa. 

Colleen Kay Cragoe was born February 12, 1938, to Arthur and Grayce (Little) Rust on a farm in Westside Township, Nobles County, Minnesota. She was raised on the farm with three brothers and two sisters and attended country school for two years.

•A Luverne High School junior accomplished something no other Cardinal wrestler has in 16 years at the Minnesota State Class AA Wrestling Championships at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul over the weekend.

It does not happen very often in my neck of the woods, but when you are making a trip of any distance you can see from time to time a batch of elk or deer behind some pretty tall fences.
