Rock County corn yields are expected to be 25 % down from normal at 150 to 175 bushels per acre corn (compared with Rock County’s average 210 to 230) and 40 to 50 bushels per acre for soybeans (compared with over 60 bushels per acre average). Local fields are showing variable quality within fields, based on soil type. Higher ground that might be sandy might have corn stalks with no ears. Lower spots with richer soil will have better outcomes. (Photo credit: MDA)
