Luverne City Council members are proposing a 7.12% levy increase for taxes payable in 2027.

At their Sept. 22 meeting, they reviewed the proposed 2027 budget and set the preliminary tax levy at $4.06 million, which is nearly $270,000 more than the amount levied for 2026.
