The transmission lines would be held by 175-foot-tall structures with wire carriages at the top spanning up to 145 feet across. The footprint at the base would be 50 feet by 50 feet, and foundation depth is 25 to 65 feet below ground.

High voltage transmission lines may affect county

A high voltage transmission line may pass through north-easter Rock County, potentially affecting residents east of Luverne and north of Interstate 90.

That's according to a proposed route recently announced for the 765-kilovolt transmission line known as "PowerOn Midwest."
