Hills-Beaver Creek officially broke ground this month on its partial track project, celebrating the accomplishment despite the drizzling rain. On June 11, members of the administration, school board and community gathered to mark the official start of the project, which has a $500,000 budget — $250,000 of which came from a generous anonymous donor in honor of Kristi Metzger and her family. The partial track will provide athletes a much-needed dedicated space to practice.
