Class speaker was Carson Bakker, and the graduation address was given by Principal Barry Miedema. The bell
Sitting in church on Sunday and my ears perk up to the sound of a bell. Not a giant church type but the soft jingle, jingle of a bell from a child's toy. The sound is the exact same as the sound my twin boys' shoes used to make.

The Minnesota State Patrol and southwest Minnesota law enforcement agencies are teaming up this week and next week for extra seatbelt patrols.
During the “Click it or Ticket” campaign from May 18-31, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office has committed 40 additional hours to seatbelt enforcement.

Local bike riders were treated to some bike safety tips Saturday, May 16, at the Beaver Creek Bike Rodeo at the elementary school.
Prizes were given to each rider that signed up for the rodeo. The Luverne Optimist Club member Keith Aanenson has been offering the bike rodeo in Beaver Creek for the past seven years to educate kids on bike safety.
