Vance Walgrave poses for his daughter, Katie, to take a photograph of himself with the 1,300-pound boots of the “world’s tallest nutcracker.” They arrived in Luverne Thursday morning, Aug. 29, at the lot near Those Blasted Things where the 65-foot-tall nutcracker will be assembled on the 8-foot-tall concrete base.
The Walgrave family announced last week that there were “boots on the ground” when a flatbed trailer delivered the first pieces of “the world’s tallest nutcracker” in Luverne.
