November 29, 2023Doris Mae Fried was born November 30, 1931, to George and Alice (Voelz) Fried in Luverne, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in Luverne until 1941. The family moved several times over the next few years to posts where her father was stationed with the U.S. Army during World War II.
