 Compassionate Friends meets at 6:30 p.m. every third Monday at Coffey Contemporary Arts Luverne for those dealing with the loss of a child. Hospice Charity Dinner/Auction tickets on sale
Tickets are now on sale for the Hospice Charity Dinner and Auction set for Saturday, April 18, at Grand Prairie Events in Luverne. Individual tickets are $55 and may be purchased at the Sanford Luverne Hospice office at 304 N. McKenzie Street, or call 507-283-1805. (Visa and MasterCard accepted).
All proceeds benefit Sanford Luverne Hospice. Banquet attendees have a chance to win a trip for two to San Francisco and Napa Valley.
 
Memory Café Feb. 24
Good Samaritan Society and Rock County Dementia Network will present a Memory Café from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at WildFlowers Coffee Boutique in Luverne. The event — coffee, friendship and support — is for anyone with memory-related issues and their caregivers. Call 507-283-1996 with questions.
 
Generations activities
Generations is open from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with activities and refreshments.

 ‘Night of Prayer and Worship’ March 1
A special faith community gathering  of Christians will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Grand Prairie Events in Luverne. A freewill offering will be taken with proceeds donated to a local charitable cause.
 
Next dental health clinic March 4
The next dental health clinic providing dental care for children and young adults from 0-26 will be Wednesday, March 4, at Rock County Health and Human Services building. To schedule an appointment, stop in or call 612-746-1530. All forms of insurance are accepted. (Organized by #Luv1LuvAll’s Rock County Oral Health Task Force.) Another dental health clinic is scheduled for April 1.
 
Farmers: Modifying Existing Equipment workshop March 6
Farmers are invited to sign up for a free workshop at Harlan Spronk’s Shop at 1445 251st Street, Edgerton, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, to learn how to modify existing equipment to implement strip till, no till and cover crops practices. Defensive Driving refresher classes will be March 26 and March 30.
Defensive Driving first-time class, an 8-hour class, will be offered in two sessions, April 20 and 27, four hours each evening.
ACT Prep Class for area juniors and seniors will meet five nights beginning Feb. 24. Fee is $125. Register by Feb. 14.
Managing Your Low Back Pain will be at noon Feb. 19. Bring a sack lunch; dessert will be provided. Cost is $5.
Pizza, Pizza, Pizza will be Feb. 24 for students in grades 1-5 who want to learn how to make a pizza from the pros. Class will be at Pizza Ranch. Cost is $15 to cover pop, pizza and an apron to take home.
Indoor Play for children 0-5 with parents is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2. No fee, but must register.
Eco Therapy/ Mindfulness will be March 2 at 7 p.m. at CE Room 802. #Luv1LuvAll’s mental health focus group will be offering Brain Health/Mental Wellness Educational Sessions on the first Mondays of the month. Please register for this free class. Continuing ed credit forms will be available.
Softball Pitchers Catchers Camp for girls in grades 3-8 will meet three Thursdays beginning March 5. Fee is $20 paid by Feb. 26.
Learn the game of Pickleball will be March 7 for a fee of $5. Play pickleball Mon/Wed/Fri mornings and/or Thursday evenings through April 10. Fee is $20.
Think summer! Students in grades K-12 sign up by March 27 for Summer Comm Ed softball, baseball, T-ball teams.  After March 27, registrations will be accepted only if there are openings, and a late fee of $50 will be applied.
