Luverne gymnastics team finishes season 23-4

The Luverne gymnasts finished their season with a home victory over New Ulm 133.725 to 130.025 Tuesday, Feb. 7, improving their team record to 23-4.
Head coach Phoebe Flom said she’s pleased with her team’s performance. 
“This is one of our best seasons as a team since I have been the coach,” she said.
In the all-around gymnastics competition LHS placed thee in the top five spots.
Sophomore Ella Reisdorfer took first place with 35.950 all-around combined points.
Sophomore Amira Cowell placed second with 33.900 combined points.
Junior Sarah de Cesare placed fifth with 31.775 combined points.
All three gymnasts competed in all four (vault, bars, beam, floor) individual events.
Other Luverne gymnasts placing in all-around were:

Kendra Thorson  – 15.050, seventh,
competed in two events 
Reagan Gangestad  – 15.000, eleventh,
competed in two events

The Cardinals will compete in the Section 3A Tournament Saturday, Feb. 18, in Pipestone.
