The Luverne Cardinals went 0-3 on the mat this past week.
The Cardinals opened the week on Thursday, Feb. 25, in Springfield. The Tigers and Cardinals played to a 39-39 tie, but Luverne ultimately lost due to forfeits.
The Cardinals then returned home for a triangular against New Ulm and Blue Earth Area.
New Ulm defeated Luverne 51-13 and Blue Earth topped the Cardinals 66-12.
 
Springfield 39, LHS 39
The Cardinals opened the dual against the Tigers by winning the first four matches by fall.
Uriel Herandez won by fall over Will Schmidt in the 106-pound division.
In the 113-pound division it was Cameron McCreary defeating Dominick Rivers by fall.
Rayden Boyenga won by fall over Paytin Johnson in the 120-pound weight class.
In the 126-pound division Riley Cowell defeated Wyatt Schmidt by fall.
Braydon Ripka won by fall over Joe Jensen in the 145-pound division.
In the 160-pound weight class, Hunter Baker won by decision (5-4) over Ashtin Johnson.

Cowell won by decision (10-5) over Winsten Nienhouse in the 120-pound division.
Ripka won by major decision (13-4) over Ryan Wildscheck in the 145-pound weight class.
Baker won by fall over Ty Frederick in the 152-pound weight class.
 
Blue Earth 66, LHS 12
Cowell won by fall over Carson Sturk in the 120-pound class.
Ripka won by fall over Parker Meyers in the 145-pound weight class.
In the 152-pound class it was Baker winning by decision (4-0) over Cory Kitchel.
