It was a relatively quiet weekend for local dirt track drivers at area racetracks.
Brandon Boeve of Beaver Creek led Rock County racers when he placed fifth in the Sportsman’s class at Rapid Speedway Friday night.
Local drivers also competed at Murray County Speedway in Slayton Friday night and I-90 Speedway near Hartford, South Dakota, Saturday.
Rapid Speedway
Five men from Rock County raced at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Friday night.
Beaver Creek’s Brandon Boeve set the standard for local drivers this week when he placed fifth in the Sportsman’s A Feature race.
Scott Overgaard of Luverne finished in seventh place in the Stock Cars A Feature race and Eric Gaul, also of Luverne, placed ninth in the Hobby Stocks A Feature race.
Murray County Speedway
Murray County Speedway in Slayton hosted its usual slate of dirt track races Friday night.
Luverne’s Jeremy Smith competed in the A Modifieds class. He placed 13th overall in the feature race.
I-90 Speedway
Cadyn Wessels of Luverne raced in the Hobby Stocks class at 1-90 Speedway near Hartford Saturday night.
