After opening for play in late March of 2017, a year later the Luverne Country Club stood idol Thursday morning with the ninth green and fairway completely covered with snow.

Golfers eagerly waiting to play at LCC

One year ago at this time, the Luverne Country Club was a busy place.

With a mild winter in the rearview mirror and above average temperatures during the third month of 2017, the LCC was open for business in late March.

“We had some 60-degree days last year in February and we had some playing golf. I was one of them,” said LCC President Mark Iveland.
