National Guard to close armories in Luverne and Pipestone, built new one

County officials will meet with city and school representatives next month to discuss the Minnesota National Guard’s plan to replace its aging armories.

County Administrator Kyle Oldre spoke recently with guard officials about their plans to close the Luverne and Pipestone armories and build one facility for both guard units in a centralized location.
