Rock County seeks armory restoration bids by May 15

BIDDING
Sealed bids for the Renovation for the Rock County Land Management Office (Old Armory) will be received by Rock County Administration Office no later than 2:00 P.M. CDT on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The bid letting will be held in the office of the County Administrator on the lower level of the Rock County Courthouse, 204 E. Brown St., Luverne, MN.
This project includes a base bid that consists of the interior renovation of the main floor of the old armory with limited renovation of the lower and upper floors. An Alternate Bid will be taken for a metal building addition to the east side of the existing building. Work includes limited interior demolition, build out systems including walls, fixtures, specialties, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and all work as shown on the bid documents dated April 28, 2025. The work will be completed per the "Summary of the Work," as is listed in the project specifications. It is suggested that the bidder review the "Contract Documents" consisting of the project specifications and contract drawings. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis for all the required work. All construction will conform to the latest Standards of the 2020 Minnesota State Building Code.

RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS
This Advertisement for Bids does not commit the Owner to award a contract, nor to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of bid(s) or to procure supplies. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities and to re-advertise when it is in their best interest.
BID SECURITY
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and any and all add alternates and drawn on a State or National Bank or a 10% bid bond issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota and made payable to Rock County, Luverne, MN.
PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT SECURITY
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the amount of the Contract Award.
No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner.
