RCC adopt Title XV Land Uses amendments

Ordinance Amendments to Title XV Land Usage, Chapter 153 Planning and Zoning involving Places of Public Accommodation in the A-2 General Ag District and for Interim Use Permits and expansion of aggregate mining in the A-1 Limited Ag District
WHEREAS, the Rock County Planning & Zoning Commission reviewed and discussed proposed amendments and additions to Title XV Land Usage, Chapter 153 Planning and Zoning at a Public Hearing, April 14, 2025, at 7:15 P.M. at Generations Senior Center located at 105 S. Estey Street, Luverne, MN; and
WHEREAS, Rock County Board of Commissioners finds and concludes that the proposed amendments are appropriate and lawful land use regulations for Rock County, that the proposed amendments will promote the community's interest in reasonable stability in zoning for now and in the future, and that the proposed provisions are in the public interest and for the public good.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THE ROCK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEREBY ORDAIN AND AMEND SECTIONS OF TITLE XV LAND USES, CHAPTER 153 PLANNING AND ZONING AS FOLLOWS:
§153.001 INTRODUCTION General Provisions – (H) Interim Use Permits to be
added
§153.007 RULES AND DEFINITIONS – (A) Rules; (4) adds new definition Places of
Public Accommodation
§153.052 OFFICERS, PLAN PREPARATION, USE, PERMIT REVIEW Interim Use
Permits to be added
§153.090 APPLICATION – adds Interim Use Permits
§153.091 PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTIFICATION - adds Interim Use Permits
§153.092 REPORT TO THE COUNTY BOARD - adds Interim Use Permits
§153.093 FINDINGS- adds Interim Use Permits
§153.094 FEES- adds Interim Use Permits
§153.095 COMPLIANCE- adds Interim Use Permits
§153.096 ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS- adds Interim Use Permits
§153.097 DURATION- adds Interim Use Permits
§153.171 INTERIM USES A-1 District- adds Interim Uses. Mineral Extraction
Expansion Property may be allowed in the A-1 Limited Ag District

at § 153.007 of this chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE
Amendments to this ordinance shall be in full force and effective from and after its passage and publications as required by law.
