Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116.07, subd. 7 (a), that Cal Lubben has made application to the County of Rock, for a permit to modify a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The proposed feedlot will be located in the NE 1/4 of section 13 in Battle Plain Township, Rock County, Minnesota.
The existing facility consists of dairy confinement with an earthen pit and open lots with runoff controls to house 490 head of dariy cows and 190 head of dairy heifers for a total of 819 animal units. The proposed modification will be adding onto the existing barn, adjusting animal numbers and animal types on site; after the modification animal numbers will be 490 dairy cows, reducing dairy heifer numbers to 160 head and adding 105 head of dairy calves to the open lots with runoff controls. Animal units after the modification will be unchanged at 819 animal units.
All manure from the site will be stored in earthen pits and manure packs within the open lots.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
