Notice of Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit Lass Farms, LLC
Pursuant to the Rock County Zoning Ordinance, notice is hereby given by the Rock County Planning and Zoning Commission that a public hearing will be held at the Rock County Law Enforcement Center located at 1000 North Blue Mound Avenue, Luverne, Minnesota at 7:20 P.M., Monday, March 31, 2025. The purpose of this hearing is to rule on the application for Conditional Use Permit for the following:

Conditional Use: Operation of an existing feedlot of more than 1000
Animal Units
Zoning District: A-2, General Agriculture
The conditional use permit is for the construction of a new animal feedlot on the property described above.
The proposed feedlot shall consist of one (1) 121’8” x 336’ total confinement barn to house 4800 head of finishing swine. All livestock on site will be housed in the total confinement barn. Manure from the total confinement barn will be stored below ground in an underfloor reinforced concrete deep manure storage pit. Total capacity of the barn using 0.3 animal units per head will be 1440 animal units.
