Monday, March 24 , 2025

The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Secondary School District Board Room, 301 N Summit Avenue, Hills, MN.

Board members and Administration present were Gehrke, Harnack, Helgeson,

Rauk, Rozeboom and Uittenbogaard. Superintendent Holthaus, Principal Kellenberger and Business Manager Rozeboom were also in attendance. Board member Bosch was absent.

Motion by Helgeson, second by Harnack, and carried to approve the agenda.

Visitors to the meeting were Mrs. Tollefson and Mrs. Moore.

Motion by Rozeboom, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve consent agenda:

•2025-2026 Minnesota Commodity Distribution Agreement designating

Performance Foodservice of Marshall, MN, to supply our commodity goods.

Motion by Helgeson, second by Rauk, and carried to approve curriculum cycle change moving mathematics review to the 2025-2026 school year and allowing for Elementary Reading Curriculum to be updated 2024-2025.

Motion by Harnack, second by Helgeson, and carried to approve Lego Robotics

Team Trip for WAFFLE competition in Worcester, Massachusetts June 2025.

Motion by Rozeboom, second by Rauk, and carried to approve District matching up to $7,500 for the Lego Robotics Team to compete in the WAFFLE competition in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Motion by Harnack, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve adding an additional Jr. High Track Coach for the 2024-2025 Season.

Motion by Helgeson, second by Rauk, and carried to approve hiring Kaylan Untiedt and Lydia Scruggs as Jr. High Track Coaches, one position shared 50% time each.

Motion by Uittenbogaard, second by Harnack, and carried to approve hiring Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Motion by Harnack, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve dividing the second grade class into two sections for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Motion by Helgeson, second by Rauk, and carried to approve hiring Calvin Erickson as Secondary Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2025-2026 School Year and approve tuition reimbursement agreement.

Motion by Harnack, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve hiring Court Anderson as K-12 Vocal Music Instructor and Choir Director for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Motion by Rozeboom, second by Rauk, and carried to approve 2025-2026 South West South Central Service Agreement.

Motion by Harnack, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve Donation

Resolution:

•$1,000.00 from H-BC PTO for the Elementary PBIS Account

•$131.25 from Anonymous for Girls Basketball Student Activity Account

•$131.25 from Anonymous for Boys Basketball Student Activity Account
