The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the H-BC School District Board room, 301 N Summit Ave, Hills, MN.

Board members and Administration present were Bosch, Gehrke, Harnack, Helgeson, Rauk, Rozeboom and Uittenbogaard. Superintendent Holthaus, Principal Kellenberger and Business Manager Rozeboom were also in attendance.

Motion by Bosch, second by Rozeboom, and carried to approve the agenda.

Visitor to the meeting was Mavis Fodness of the Rock County Star Herald.

PATRIOT PRIDE:

•Lexxus Wessels on earning one of the Youth Tour trips to Washington D.C.

this June! Lexxus participated in the Sioux Valley Energy’s EmPOWER Youth

Leadership Program.

•Congratulations to the H-BC Girls Basketball Team on their successful

season!

•Congratulations to the H-BC Boys Basketball Team on their successful

season!

•Coach Chad Rauk - Section 3A South Coach of the Year

•March is Music in the Schools month!

•Students Participated in the Celebration of Music Festival in Brandon.

Participants were: Haven Kerkhove-Brandt, Kersi Billet, Gabi Junge, Trinity

Olson, Norah Top, Gavin Harnack, Kaleb Olson, Keiton Koller

•March 4-8 was School Social Worker Week--Thank you Mrs. Breuer!

•Knowledge Bowl White Team Advanced to the Super Regional on March 6-

Gavin Voss, Kyler Hartz, Sylvia Fick, Lenae Elbers, Gracie Fagerness- placed 22/26

Motion by Harnack, second by Uittenbogaard, and carried to approve consent agenda:

-Accepting Meghan Zylstra’s resignation as head volleyball coach.

Motion by Bosch, second by Helgeson, and carried to approve Donation Resolution:

•$1,360.00 from DeGeest Corporation for 2nd grade Science Conference at

SMSU

•$390.00 from Marmen Energy for 2nd grade Science Conference at SMSU

•$250.00 from New Prairie Insulation for 2nd grade Science Conference at

SMSU

•$250.00 from Anonymous for Elementary Library Books

•$40.00 from Blackbaud Giving Fund for Elementary Student Council

•$40.00 from Blackbaud Giving Fund for Secondary Student Council

Motion by Harnack, second by Rauk, and carried to approve acceptance of the following ReBids related to the District’s new Elementary School and Bond Construction Projects, as recommended by RA Morton Construction Management:

•ReBid 4A: Masonry- $154,000.00- Lakeside Construction & Masonry

•ReBid 7A: Roofing- $1,910,150.00- Gag Sheet Metal, Inc

•ReBid 10A: Signage- $45,962.00- Ford Signs

Motion by Bosch, second by Harnack, and carried to approve rejecting Alternate 15 add of $45,950.00 Screen Wall at Rooftop Mechanical Equipment, above Mechanical Room D201.
