February 12, 2024
The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the H-BC School District Board room, 301 N Summit Ave, Hills, MN.
Board members and Administration present were Bosch, Gehrke, Harnack,
Helgeson, Rozeboom and Uittenbogaard. Superintendent Holthaus and Business
Manager Rozeboom were also in attendance. Board member Rauk and Principal
Kellenberger were absent.
Appointed Harnack as acting Clerk.
Motion by Bosch, second by Rozeboom, and carried to approve the
agenda.
Visitor to the meeting was Mavis Fodness of the Star Herald.

Motion by Harnack, second by Rozeboom, and carried to approve consent
agenda:
-Minutes—01/23/2024, 01/24/2024 and 01/29/2024
-Bills
-Imprest Cash Report
-Setting the 2024-2025 Little Patriots Academy Tuition as follows:
•Monthly Tuition Two days/week- $125.00 Busing $40
•Monthly Tuition Three days/week- $145.00 and Busing $55
•Monthly Tuition Five days/week- $215.00 and Busing $85
-Dan Ellingson’s resignation as teacher, counselor, advisor and coach at
the end of the 2023-2024 School year.
-Dan Elligson’s participation in Section 17.9 Retirement Insurance Benefit of
the Agreement between the district and the Hills Beaver Creek Education
Association.
-Megan Klumper’s resignation as Mock Trial Coach at the end of the 2023-
2024 season
Motion by Uittenbogaard, second by Helgeson, and carried to approve
the Hills-Beaver Creek Board of Education authorization of abatement bonds
as part of the school district’s building projects.
Motion by Harnack, second by Helgeson, and carried to approve payment in
arrears for 9th grade coaches pay for Chad Rauk.
