Notice of Public Hearing for a Variance

to the City of Luverne Zoning Ordinance

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, by the City of Luverne Board of Appeals and Adjustments that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located in the City Offices Building, 305 East Luverne Street, Luverne, Minnesota, commencing at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The purpose of the hearing is to make a ruling on a requested variance by Tom Lanoue, to City Code Section 153.055 Residential Uses, subd. D. Residential; accessory structures and uses, (2) attached/detached accessory structures and uses, (b) all detached accessory structures shall be a minimum of ten feet from the principal building and three feet from all side yards and no closer than the back building line of the principal structure from the street, 213 W. Crawford, City of Luverne, Minnesota.

All persons wishing to be heard in favor of or in opposition to the variance request should be present at the hearing or present written comments prior thereto the Building Official. Anyone needing reasonable accommodations or an interpreter should contact the City Clerk’s Office, 305 East Luverne Street, Luverne, MN. 507-449-9898.
