LATI announces dean’s list
Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, South Dakota, has announced the students who were named to the Spring 2018 president’s list. To be eligible, full-time students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Those who earned a 4.0 are indicated with an asterisk after the name.
Making the list were Ingrid Gonzales, Jenica Haas and Dallis Henrichs, all from Luverne, and Kelly Harkema*, Ellsworth.
 
DSU names honor students
Area students have been named to the president’s academic honors list for the Spring 2018 semester at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Honor students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
Honor students from Luverne are Marissa Fick, Logan Stratton and Danielle Watts-Boll. From Steen is Alexis Hanson.
 
Area students named to SDSU dean’s list
Several area students were named to the Spring 2018 dean’s list at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. To be eligible, students must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits and earn a 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Students with an asterisk after their names earned a 4.0. Students are listed by their hometown, and names are followed by their area of study.

Minnesota West Community and Technical College announced the students named to the Spring 2018 dean’s list. To be named, students must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits and earn at least a 3.5 GPA. Students are listed according to hometown.

Bartels makes Alexandria Tech dean’s list
Aiden Bartels, Luverne, has been named to the Spring 2018 dean’s list at Alexandria Technical and Community College in Alexandria. To be named, students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA.
 
Baartman receives degree from Mayo
Hannah Baartman, a 2011 graduate of Luverne High School, graduated Friday, May 25, from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at Rochester.
She is the daughter of Bruce and Vicki Baartman, Brandon, South Dakota.
 
Ebert named to dean’s list at Illinois Wesleyan
Laurin Ebert was named to the Spring 2018 dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois.
She is the daughter of Paul and Dyan Ebert, Big Lake, and the granddaughter of Laurin and Rose Carroll, Luverne, and the late Vance and Doris Ebert.
 
Maleki earns DVM at Iowa State
Brianna Maleki, Hills, was awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Iowa State University’s Spring 2018 commencement ceremonies in Ames, Iowa.
