Mount Marty releases dean’s list
Mitchell Lonneman, Adrian, was named to the Spring 2019 dean’s list at Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota. To be honored, students must be enrolled full time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
 
NDSU names honor students
James Erickson and Derek Krueger, both of Luverne, have been named to the North Dakota State University, Fargo, Spring 2019 dean’s list. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Erickson is majoring in civil engineering, and Krueger is majoring in biological sciences.
 
Alexandria Tech names dean’s list
Erica DeBoer, Luverne, was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester at Alexandria Technical and Community College. To be eligible, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
 
Esselink graduates from SMSU
Kelli Esselink graduated summa cum laude from Southwest Minnesota State University May 11 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in special education.
 
Van Wyhe graduates from Georgetown U
Captain Trey Van Wyhe graduated with a master’s degree from Georgetown University, McCourt School of Public Policy in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, May 16.
Van Wyhe received an Office of Secretary Defense and Joint Staff Fellowship from the U.S. Army and will serve at the Pentagon for two years.
Trey and his wife, Jody, live in Arlington, Virginia, with their children Owen, 3, and Ella, six months.
 
Augustana releases dean’s list
Caitlin Hartman, Cody Rofshus, and Hope Van Meeteren, all of Luverne, were named to the Augustana University, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester. To be eligible, students must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
 
USF awards degrees to area students
Three area students were awarded degrees from the University of Sioux Falls Sunday, May 10, at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science.
Katelyn Hart, Luverne, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Kendra Paulsen, Hills, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and music education.
Erin Sietsema, Luverne, received a Bachelor of Arts in business.
 
Area students make USF dean’s list
Kendra Paulsen, Hills, and Katelyn Hart, Luverne, were named to The University of Sioux Falls dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester. To qualify, students must earn a minimum of 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Kendra is a senior majoring in music education and elementary education, and Katelyn is a student in the accelerated nursing program.
 
DSU names honor students
Marissa Fick and Logan Stratton, both of Luverne, qualified for the dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. To be named, students must be full time with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
