Vivian Elaine Else, 82, Brandon, South Dakota, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Bethany Home in Brandon.
A visitation was Monday, Nov. 30, at George Boom Funeral Chapel, and the family will have a private funeral.
Vivian Elaine Letcher was born July 2, 1933, to Everett and Viola (Cummings) Letcher in Hanson County, South Dakota.
On June 6, 1952, she married Ivan Cleo Else in Luverne. She was a homemaker. She was active in the local VFW and the American Legion, where she was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scouts leader. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but also playing bingo, pinochle and pitch with friends and family.
Vivian is survived by her children, Amanda Pauline (Keith) Thorson, Hardwick, Connie (Bob) Hayne, Rapid City, South Dakota, Candy Larson, Luverne, Cregg (Rhonda) Else, Sioux Falls, Wade (Melinda) Else, and Launa Else, all of Brandon; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her sister, Patricia (Don) LaFrenz, Luverne, and her brother, Donald (Alvina) Letcher, Hardwick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her parents; brothers Lester, Noelan and James; sisters Carol and Delores; and her great-granddaughter, Emma.
