Terry A. Sandhurst, 64, Magnolia, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.
A memorial service was Monday, May 6, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. A private family burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
Terry Sandhurst was born Aug. 1, 1954, to Vincent and Marlene (Bruns) Sandhurst in Slayton.
He married Veta Dohlmann on Aug. 31, 1996, at the Magnolia Methodist Church. After their marriage, the couple lived in Magnolia. Terry was self-employed for many years as a carpenter in partnership along with two brothers and a cousin with Dirks & Sandhurst Construction in Fulda.
He was a member of the Magnolia Methodist Church. He enjoyed singing, fishing and playing the concertina.
Terry is survived by his wife, Veta Sandhurst, Magnolia; his mother, Marlene (Dave) Murphy, Windom; four brothers, Bob (Vicki) Sandhurst, Mark (Sue) Sandhurst, and Scott (friend, Lori) Sandhurst, all of Fulda, and John (Lori) Sandhurst, Worthington; and two sisters, Linda (John) Johnson, Lakeville, and Jill Sandhurst, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; nine nieces; seven nephews; two stepsisters, Becki Johnson, Marshall, and Debbie, Henderson, Nevada; aunts Barbara, Fannie and Darlene Sandhurst, Fulda, and Mavis (Don) Vander Heiden, Heron Lake; and many cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father; a stepdaughter, Teresa Vastenhout; and uncles, Art, Harold, Edwin and Lester Sandhurst.
