Stanley Dean Sasker was born with his twin sister to Ray and Tena (Rozeboom) Sasker on July 27, 1945, on a farm west of Garretson, South Dakota. The family moved to a farm near Steen, Minnesota, for a few years before settling on a farm northwest of Luverne, Minnesota. Stan attended country school through the fifth grade and then continued his education in Luverne, graduating with the Class of 1963. Stan helped on the farm until 1965, when he enlisted into the U.S. Army and served as a field radio repairman in Vietnam. In July of 1968, he received an honorable discharge. He returned home to the farm for a few months and then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where he began working at St. Paul Dress Beef.

On January 31, 1970, Stan was united in marriage to Marilyn Marie Bieringer at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. The couple lived in Minneapolis their first year of marriage, and in 1971 Stan transferred within the company and the couple moved to Tama, Iowa. They were blessed with three children.

In April of 1977 they moved to the Sasker family farm in Luverne where Stan returned to farming full time. In November of 2017, after more than 30 years in the dairy industry, they sold the farming operation.

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Stan passed away at the Sanford Luverne Hospital at the age of 79 years, six months and 17 days.
