Shelli Lynn Larsen, 39, Valley Springs, South Dakota, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Sanford Hospital.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Brandon Lutheran Church in Brandon. Burial will follow in Valley Springs, South Dakota.  Visitation with family present will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Brandon Lutheran Church.
Shelli Swenson was born Feb. 7, 1976, to Larry and Phyllis (Bergan) Swenson in Luverne. She was educated in the Luverne public schools and later attended Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated in 1996 with a degree in horticulture.
On April 14, 2007, she married her best friend of seven years, Aaron Larsen, in Valley Springs. She was employed by Valley Springs Farmers Co-op.
Shelli was an active community member in Valley Springs, was part of Bottoms Up Pink Ladies, was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and loved being with her kids and neighborhood kids.
She enjoyed going with the family to their cabin in the Black Hills, spending time at Lake Madison, going all out for trunk-or-treat, enjoying Booster Day activities and making sure every child was on the float, hosting her annual Christmas cookie Saturday, and decorating for every holiday. In the summer of 2015 Shelli lined up a special Swenson gathering where a week was spent laughing and enjoying each other's company.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron; a son, Grady, and a daughter, Addison; her parents; a sister, Sheri (Mike) Hoss; two brothers, Shawn (Jill) Swenson and Jeff (Amy) Swenson; her nieces, Lexy, McKenzie, Sabrina and Macie; parents in-law, Roger (Kathy) Larsen and Carmen (Keith) Braun; a sister-in law, Amber Larsen; and her best friend, Suzie Weir.
Memorials are preferred to The Valley Springs Legion remodeling project.
