Philip J. Barrow, 67, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 3:27 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
He was born June 24, 1948, in Hot Springs, South Dakota, to the late Laurel and Katherine (Schuchart) Barrow.
Philip was a Vietnam War veteran, serving 27 years in the U.S. Navy. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 120, Eagles and VFW 9395, where he was the post commander.
He retired from Jasper Engine and Transmission.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Laurel and Katherine (Schuchart) Barrow and brother, John Barrow, of South Dakota.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna (Speed) Barrow of Loogootee; son, Harold Flanagan of Loogootee; daughters, Pam Chrisman of Loogootee and Teresa Voegerl of Huntingburg; eight grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren; four sisters, Pauline Martin of Minnesota, Phylis Dubbe of South Dakota, Sharon Saunders of Missouri and Mary Holland of Arizona; many nieces and nephews
Philip will be cremated with a memorial service at a later date.
