Lynn Allen Davis, 77, Fairchild, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at his home.
A funeral service was Monday, June 1, at the United Methodist Church in Luverne. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne. 
Lynn Davis was born Aug. 16, 1937, to Orlie and Lucille (Slagel) Davis in Luverne. He grew up and attended school in the Luverne area. In October 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served at Fort Rucker, Alabama, until his honorable discharge in October 1958.  After his service he stayed in Alabama, where he found employment. He eventually returned to his roots in Minnesota. At this time he had worked at Montgomery Wards, for the city of Worthington and Buysse Motors. He also owned and operated the Stop Inn Tavern in Bigelow and the Road Runner Lodge in Worthington. In 1980 he moved to Medford, Wisconsin, where he began his career as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor. In 1986 he moved to Sand Creek, Wisconsin, and took a position with Dunn County Association of A.O.D.A, where he remained until retiring in 2002.
On June 30, 2000, he married Kathleen Louise Nau in Worthington. The couple made their home in Fairchild, where Lynn had served as mayor for two terms.
Lynn is survived by two sons, Rick Davis, Champlain, and Michael (Kathy) Davis, Coon Rapids; four daughters, Peggy Giberson, Clear Lake, South Dakota, Lori (Scott) Hamilton of St. Paul, and Amanda Davis and Rachel Davis, both of Humbird; a brother, Gene (Mary Ann) Davis, Minneapolis; a sister, Sandra Robison, Big Stone City, South Dakota, two sisters-in-law, Beverly Davis, Magnolia, and Marjorie Davis, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; several grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Davis, on Sept. 23, 2011; his parents; and three siblings, Dale Davis, Donna Faye Anderson and Keith Davis.
